PREMIER celebrated its 8th General Assembly Meeting!
The 8th PREMIER General Assembly Meeting (GAM) was held virtually over two afternoons, during which partners and members of the scientific advisory board gathered to engage in discussions regarding the project’s accomplishments and forthcoming challenges.
Following the recent Mid-term review of the PREMIER project, the first day of the event centered around sessions showcased during the review. These sessions provided an overview of all work packages, including plans for the project’s remaining duration, sustainability considerations, and feedback garnered from external reviewers. Notably, within WP3 PREMIER ERA Database and Digital Assessment System, the Digital Assessment System (DAS) was unveiled in its initial beta version.
The agenda for the second day revolved around several key topics, including: initial risk assessments, the ERA tool within WP3’s Digital Assessment System (DAS), revising the ERA guideline for human pharmaceuticals presentations, employing read-across for Fish Acute Toxicity, updates on EcoDrug, advancements in accessible machine learning models for sorption in soils, sediments, and sludges, progress on the Bridging the Gap Mini Project, and initial discoveries from the PREMIER European Rivers Monitoring Study.
Following this stimulating and enlightening Consortium meeting, the PREMIER participants look forward to our next (9th) face – to–face GAM in Bilthoven in September 2024.
