PREMIER has adopted a governance model that promotes the active participation of all involved stakeholders, in order to achieve maximum collaboration. The management structure it is based on traditional management structure adapted to the particular attributes of PREMIER.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee (ExCom) is the primary decision‐making body and is composed by one the Project Leader, the Coordinator, the Work Package Leaders of WPs 1- 4, and a representative of the Project Management Office.
The ExCom is responsible for the overall execution of the Action, alignment across all Work Packages, decision making and the initial finding of amicable solutions for any disputes between the partners relating to the execution of the Action. It will ensure the smooth operation of the Action and guarantee that all efforts are focused towards the Action Objectives, Deliverables and Milestones. This will be achieved by regular meetings to ensure that all partners are regularly updated on the scientific progress.
General Assembly
The General Assembly is the ultimate decision-making body in the project when dealing with critical issues, such as major changes in the overall project strategy, composition of the consortium and other matters that the Executive Committee (ExCom) brings to attention. The General Assembly shall be responsible for the determination of policies and decision making in relation to the overall management of the action and the finding amicable solutions for any unresolved disputes between the partners relating to the execution of the Action. The GA will host scientific discussions and supervise the correct implementation of the governance structure.
Project Management Office
The Project Management Office (PMO) supports the project coordination activities and assists in all classic project management aspects (work plan monitoring, progress assessment, budget monitoring, reporting, administration, risk management, etc.), supporting the scientific leadership.
Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) has consultative functions and is composed of renowned external experts in the field and stakeholder’s contribution to the prioritisation selection of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The SAB will be devoted to providing the project with strategic, scientific, and technical advice.
